Olefin-based dynamic crosslinked elastomers
Trexprene™ ™

ABOUT

Trexprene™ is a thermoplastic elastomer that blends an olefin resin matrix with crosslinked olefin rubber.
It offers a wide range of hardness levels and exhibits excellent compression set resistance, oil resistance, and heat resistance.
Taking advantage of its properties, it is used in automotive applications such as moldings, interior upholstery, and engine compartment components, and in industrial materials applications such as tool grips.
*As of April 2017, the low-hardness grade of "Thermorun™" has been renamed to "Trexprene™.

Features of Trexprene™

  • ■We offer two types: a partially cross-linked type with low specific gravity and excellent moldability, and a fully cross-linked type with superior heat resistance, oil resistance, and rubber elasticity.
■A lineup ranging from low to medium hardness, with a rubber-like feel.
    Duro hardness A40~
    ■Easy to mold and process.
    - Can be molded using general-purpose extrusion and injection molding machines.
    - Sprue and runners are recyclable.
  • ■The fully cross-linked type offers excellent heat resistance and flexibility.
It can be used in environments with temperatures of 110-120°C.
  • ■Fully cross-linked types have excellent rubber elasticity and superior sealing performance.
    Compression set 20% ~
    ■ Partially cross-linked types have low specific gravity and excellent molded appearance.
■Heat fusion with olefin resins is possible.
