IV bag

This medical device, designed for the safe intravenous administration of medications and nutritional solutions, consists of a flexible bag made of multilayer film. The multi-chamber bag features a peel seal that can be opened by applying hand pressure, allowing the aseptic mixing of liquid-to-liquid and liquid-to-powder formulations and helping to prevent medication errors. This functionality is achieved by controlling the heat-seal strength through temperature conditions, creating a weaker seal at the peel seal between chambers and a stronger seal along the outer perimeter.

Zelas™ TPO is a material that offers excellent seal-strength control and can be formulated to meet specific sealing temperature and strength requirements. It is also capable of withstanding autoclave sterilization at 121°C. We offer a range of grades tailored to specific performance requirements—from the innermost layer to the outer layer—enabling the manufacture of non-PVC IV bags.
