Low dielectric, transparent, and highly weather-resistant resin
Tefabloc™ CP

ABOUT

Tefabloc™ CP is a product based on amorphous polyolefins, and not only does it have high transparency,
It possesses unique properties not found in other cyclic olefins (COP/COC).
We are developing applications for optical uses such as solar panel cover materials that leverage transparency, and applications for high-speed communication such as 5G and 6G that leverage low dielectric properties.
We can also design products to meet your specific requirements.

*If considering medical use, Zelas™ CPWe are introducing this to you.

Features of Tefabloc™ CP

  • For optical applications
  • For high-speed communication (low dielectric) applications

For optical applications

1: High transparency

It has high transmittance in the ultraviolet to visible light range.

2: Excellent weather resistance

Because it has excellent weather resistance and is resistant to yellowing, it can be used in applications where transparency is required over the long term.

<Accelerated testing>

3: Excellent moisture absorption
Because it is an olefin-based material, it has excellent low moisture absorption and can be used in outdoor applications.

4: UV-resistant grade (CP103R)
The UV-C resistant grade has the ability to transmit UV-C light, which is not transmitted by general transparent resins, and also has a certain level of durability against UV-C light, which is extremely damaging to resins.

5. Others
Insert molding allows for strong fusion with polyolefin resins such as polypropylene.

<Changes in haze due to weathering resistance test (60°C, with rain)>

For high-speed communication (low dielectric) applications

1: Excellent low dielectric properties

Excellent dielectric loss and dielectric constant even at high frequency tolerances.
It has low dielectric properties.

2: Adhesion to dissimilar materials

Tefabloc™ CP adhesion grade is suitable for various metals (SUS, AI, Cu) and
It exhibits high adhesion to resins (PP, PE, COP, EVOH, PA).
