Low protein adsorption, medical-grade compound
Zelas Zelas™ CP

ABOUT

Zelas™ CP is a polymer compound product based on amorphous polyolefins, offering high transparency.
This formulation is ideally suited for use in medical devices such as vials and syringes, where low adsorption and hygiene are required for pharmaceuticals.
It offers excellent heat-sealing properties and adhesion to dissimilar materials, making it suitable for two-color molding and as a soft bag for medical devices, contributing to improved design of medical device components.
*Regarding industrial applications,Tefabloc™ CPWe are introducing this to you.

Features of Zelas™ CP

1. High transparency

It exhibits high transparency in the ultraviolet to visible light range.
It exhibits no autofluorescence in the 380-600nm range, making it suitable as a consumable component in the biochemistry field.
*Special grades that do not exhibit autofluorescence in the UV range are also available; please contact us for details.

2. Low molecular weight drugs/biopharmacies: Low adsorption

We offer grades with low adsorption to protein drugs, such as antibody drugs (IgG) and serum proteins (fibrinogen).

CP low adsorption

3.Adhesion to olefin materials
Polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), cyclic polyolefin resin (COP),
It exhibits high fusion properties to styrene-based elastomers (TPS), etc.

*If adhesion to resins other than olefins or to metals is required,Tefabloc™ CPWe are introducing this to you.

CP_PO adhesive

4.Lowtemperature adhesion

Heat bonding is possible from low temperatures (60°C) without pretreatment such as excimer or corona treatment.
Flow channel (dimensions indicated): 2mm thick (flow channel depth: 40μm), lid: 2mm thick
Bonding conditions: Press temperature (see table on the right), pressure 0.1 MPa, time 5 min

<result>
++: Good fusion +: Insufficient fusion -: Partial collapse of the flow path
--: Flow path collapsed --: No fusion

5.Regarding compliance with regulations in various countries

Japanese Pharmacopoeia 7.02 Test Methods for Plastic Pharmaceutical Containers: Leaching/Ashing Test
United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Class VI compliant grades available.

6. Laser welding possible

It is also suitable for laser welding.
