ABOUT

NOVADURAN™ ™ is the brand name for polybutylene terephthalate resin (PBT) manufactured by Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation.

PBT resin is a polyester resin obtained by polycondensation of terephthalic acid (TPA) and 1,4-butanediol (1,4-BG). It has excellent electrical properties, chemical resistance, moldability, and colorability.

Taking advantage of its unique features, it has recently been adopted as a material in the electrical and electronics field, the automotive field, and for high-performance films, among other applications.

  • ■ It has a high crystallization rate, good fluidity, and excellent moldability.
  • ■ It has a very low water absorption rate and excellent dimensional stability.

  • ■ It has excellent oil and solvent resistance and is not affected by most chemicals.
  • ■ Excellent electrical properties.
  • ■ Excellent friction and wear characteristics.
  • ■ We can supply superior flame-retardant grades.
